Day 4

07-04-2010

Today my mom sent me a link for this thing her work is trying to do and she wanted to see if i was interested in doing it with her. its 10,000 steps a day. keeping a pedomader (spelling?) on you and going for walks. and i was like DOH! thats a lot! and i looked it up online and thats 5 miles a day!! so i thought about it and i decided to wear one all day today and so far im at 1100. thats nothing. but we'll see!

Day 3

06-04-2010

it seem the weather matches my mood today. geoffs mother and i went to the mall today and i had an anxiety attack. and it seems to rain when ive been upset lately so this picture is fitting. its looking like mom might come out to visit! that would be fantastic i think. and it also looks like im starting my diet tomorrow. which is good too.

Day 2

05-04-2010 (yes im doing australian dates: day, month, year. get used to it!)

i decided to take up another project. im going to repaint a little chest of drawers that i have. its a terrible baby blue color and just could really use a pick me up. im going to get new knobs for it and maybe put some paper in the bottom of each drawer. so far ive sanded one drawer. i think it will give me something to do besides sit infront of the tv and i think it will help me get some emotions out, sanding is a very personal thing. so this is my photo of the day. :)

Day 1

04-04-2010

Its easter today and we all got together and exchanges chocolate. we had a nice dinner. deb make these adorable bunny cupcakes. :) they were creative and delicous. my two favorite things.

updates!

Geoff and i went to the Canberra national Botanic gardens. it was a lovely bright day. we had a great time.

every year in canberra theres a big fire works show called "skyfire" they've got some live music and a local radio station plays music with the fireworks. this was the largest gathering of canberra ive seen so far! we all gathered around this lake in city centre and there were crowds all along the lake. here are some pictures.

geoffs mom made scones (which are like similar to our biscuits but sweet) they arnt really like our scones. anywhoo. we had them with stawberry jam and freshly whipped cream. yum!

Geoff and i have also decided to start project 365.
the focus of the project is to take a picture every single day and upload it to a blog or facebook or somewhere as long as its always there. and tell a small story about that picture. geoffs sister is on day 93 and its been a routine for geoff and i to check her blog almost everyday to see her photo of the day. its also to document your year and show progress and change. we think thats a great idea so we both have decided to do it. im really hoping we can stick to it. ive decided to use this blog as my canvas to show you parts of my everyday life. im hoping it will make me feel a little less far away and show you all a little of my life. heres a link to follow if you want more information on project 365.
i love you all and miss you and hope you
check this, even every once in awhile.

christmas and my visit home!

the trip in the states was great. we got to see a lot of family and had some much needed catch up time. we had lots of fun in san diego but also went to las vegas, mexico, disneyland, los angeles, and all over the place so much good times

Hello!! i know ive been a stranger.
its only feb now. geez give me some slack. :)
right well. we had christmas and new years and my visit to the states. (which was awesome)
christmas was lovely! but man is it a meat fest and if any of you actually know me, you know i dont eat much meat. they had ham, pork, turkey, sausages, and prawns (shrimp) and then on the side there was potatoe salad, my 7 layer salad, a regular green salad and thats it. it was so random to me.
lots of candy. and geoffs dad set up a christmas train they have.
they have these "popper" things. they play. two people pull from either side. there is a big bang and one side get the larger chunk. inside the chunk is a paper hat, a small toy, and a joke. interesting. :)
all is good. i got to drive our little car a couple times. swapping back to this side of the road wasnt too bad. and stick i am ok but i need A LOT of practice.
